As an event professional, you're constantly pushing boundaries. Staying ahead of emerging technologies like generative AI isn't optional anymore. It's essential. But where do you start? And how do you make AI work for you without losing precious time?
In just one day, we'll bring you up to speed on the latest AI developments in the events industry. We make AI simple and accessible. No technical background required. Learn ready-to-use workflows, discover which processes you can delegate to AI, and unlock new levels of creativity and efficiency in planning and executing your events.
We'll show you how to harness the power of AI.
🤖 Generative AI, demystified.
Forget the technical jargon. AI doesn't have to be complicated. In this workshop, you'll get an accessible introduction to AI, specifically designed for event professionals, by event professionals.
💡 25+ practical applications.
Discover what AI is really worth for the events industry. From automating repetitive tasks to amplifying creativity and communication. We'll show you plenty of examples that you can adopt.
✋ Learn by doing.
This isn't a theory class. We believe in learning through experimentation. With guided exercises, you'll get hands-on with AI tools. You'll leave confident in how to apply AI yourself.
We start practical and straightforward. Where does AI stand in the events world right now, and how can you as a venue or production team benefit directly? We build the foundation: understanding the difference between tools, skills and mindset. Because once you understand how AI thinks, you'll get more value from it.
You'll learn how a language model works without technical jargon: context, memory and the logic of prediction. We cover conversing versus reasoning (which model do you use when?), and dive into context, hallucinations and frameworks. How do you maintain control over output and build structure into your prompts? You'll also learn key settings like Connectors (search within Dropbox, Drive, Sharepoint) and Personalisation (memory, custom instructions).
We transition to multimodality: understanding that you can use different types of input. Combining text, images and audio to make AI work better in your daily practice. Think photos of a setup as context for a report, or enriching internal communications.
Next, we cover privacy, security and platform choices. What makes sense within an organization? The difference between free and paid models, GDPR implications, and when to choose which solution. We close with hands-on exercises where you tackle use-cases from the events world.
Take your event design to the next level with practical hands-on sessions in AI-powered image generation. You'll work directly with tools like ChatGPT and Gemini to create visuals you can actually use.
We apply these skills to practical use-cases: creating a Guy Fawkes mask, designing merchandise, and reimagining an event location in a different setting with Nano Banana. We'll also tease one storyboard example for those who want to explore further after the workshop.
We close the day with a reflection round: what are you taking away from this workshop? Which insights will you apply immediately? You'll share your biggest learnings and get tips from other participants.
Then we introduce AI Fundamentals 2 and 3: the follow-up workshops where we dive deeper into topics we didn't cover today, like Deep Research, transcriptions, Custom GPTs and advanced prompting techniques. You'll leave with a clear path for your AI journey.

We focus exclusively on the tools, skills, and use cases that matter most to the event industry, ensuring that our Generative AI workshops are as relevant and impactful as possible.
As event professionals ourselves—still actively organizing large-scale B2B events—we design every exercise around real-world use cases we've encountered in our work.
This makes our workshops a perfect fit for professionals working at event agencies, venues, and organizers, as well as those operating within the broader business event ecosystem—including catering companies, AV suppliers, event consultants, and educators.
That said, our workshops are open to everyone. Even if you don’t fit within our core audience, we know from experience that anyone can apply these AI tools to their advantage.
If you are registered for a workshop but cannot attend, please contact us as soon as possible (info@). Depending on when you cancel, we may be able to reschedule your registration to another date or offer a partial refund.
It is also always possible to send someone else in your place at no extra cost.
Yes, our workshops include lunch, documentation, and refreshments. During breaks, we provide coffee, tea, and snacks. After the workshop, you will receive detailed documentation and cheat sheets to help you apply the skills you’ve learned in your daily work. This documentation will be sent to you in three follow-up emails, spaced one per week to help reinforce your learning.
You will also receive an official certificate upon completion of the course, recognizing your participation.
Additionally, you'll be invited to join the Narrative Community, where you can connect with over 1,000 event professionals discussing AI and sharing insights.
For some of our workshops, you’ll need a paid subscription to an AI tool.
For the AI Fundamentals workshop, we ask that you have a ChatGPT Plus, Teams, or Enterprise account installed and working, as we’ll be using these tools throughout the session. We recommend the ChatGPT Team plan (starting from 2 users) for the best data privacy benefits. For freelancers, the Plus plan is the best option. A paid subscription to Gemini, Grok, Claude, or Copilot will also work if you prefer an alternative AI tool.
If you’re attending the AI Creativity workshop, you’ll need a paid Midjourney account, as we’ll explore many use cases using this tool. We recommend the Standard Plan.
Additionally, bring your laptop or tablet so you can actively participate in exercises. At the start of the day, we’ll share a Dropbox folder with all necessary prompts and use cases.
For some exercises, we’ll also use the ChatGPT mobile app. Please download it in advance, making sure to select the correct app from OpenAI.
We always recommend starting with our AI Fundamentals workshop. You don't need any prior knowledge or experience with AI tools, but at the same time, we cover so much in one day that even event professionals who frequently use tools like ChatGPT will gain valuable new techniques, tools, and insights—making it well worth their time.
Our AI Creativity and AI Productivity workshops are advanced sessions that build on what is covered in AI Fundamentals. If you feel experienced enough, you're welcome to skip AI Fundamentals. However, please note that these advanced workshops will not revisit foundational AI concepts.
